Arrived around 7pm. Did a lot of photon shopping early in the night, and started a short observing session in my own scope by 10pm. I would pack up and leave by midnight. Spent some time with the planisphere learning the sky.
M41: Observed.
M81 and M82: Same field of view in the 35 Pan, and barely so in the 7 Nagler. With the 4 Radian, M81 is puffy and round while M82 is nicely edge-on. Good contrast but low detail. Galaxies are cool!
M106: Obvious in 7 Nagler. It's very faint in 4 Radian.
Izar: Fun view in 4 Radian. Split.
M3: Packed globular cluster. Almost granular in 35 Pan. Granular and nice to view in 7 Nagler. Richly speckled in 4 Radian. A wonderful object.
