The whole idea here is getting inside of the other guy's head. Partial results are quite acceptable, because even only doing enough to take a little time away from thinking about the game can be effective over the short term. The specific kind of trash talk is highly dependent on the target opponent. Insulting intelligence is typical fare. However, this strategy is likely to consume social currency. Even if you are justified in whatever trash talk, most groups consider anything above good-natured ribbing somewhat damaging to the participants' reputation. |
