This translates best into the social sphere, or into a free-form game like a role-playing game. The player makes a suggestion - or carefully phrases it as an imperative, or a fait accompli - and then provides paragraphs of reasoned justification about why this is the case, or should be. In place of the reasoned justification, we might also find color and dramatic flair. In the end, it's a sell job to get the group, or the referee, to allow the action or idea. |
