Strategy Feigned Disinterest
Definition The player feigns disinterest in the game, luring his opponents into believing he is not investing a lot of effort in the game.
Desired Result In this way, his opponents believe is a much diminished threat, and focus their attention on the other opponents.
Commentary By feigning disinterest, the subject attempts to reduce her threat profile. They seem to only be spending part of their time playing the game. This strategy is most useful among groups which are very sensitive to selecting social targets. Unless the player is attempting to lure his opponent into striking, this strategy makes a poor choice in situations where opponents are likely to strike against the weak, or other low-hanging fruit.
