The Distractor |
| Definition |
The player's purpose is to provide (or use already existing) sensory or environmental dissonance to create a distraction during which he sneaks in a (presumably legal) move or series of moves, or renders an otherwise significant move less significant by contrast. |
| Desired Result |
In this way, the Distractor is able to make an obvious move under cover. |
| Commentary |
A dizzying array of possibilities is open to the Distractor, from singing while he takes his turn to making his move the moment the pizza arrives. This strategy is most useful in games with a high number of moves in a complex playing field. It can also be used over an extended period, if skillfully employed. |
