Event Summary |
That same evening, the PCs receive a substantial counter-offer from Gomo of Tremere, who would have them do anything but join William's enterprise. In a late-night discussion, the PCs decide to act in unity, and then to join William, pending some changes to the charter. When these changes are negotiated, the Charter is signed. A magus Ex Misc demands certamen of one of the PCs for his place in the covenant, but is refused. Later, the certamen ensues (but for a different reason), and the contest ends in stalemate. |

Leo 20, 1221
PCs have been asked to join Segobriga Segunda by William of Bonisagus.
During the night, each PC is visited by Gomo of Tremere with an offer.
Gomo offers 40 pawns of any Vis if the PC will refuse William's offer.
Angeles gathers the PCs to discuss Gomo's offer. PCs decide to refuse.
Gomo's offer provides PCs with an opportunity to bargain with William.
PCs decide to ask for 100 pawns of Vis as an addition to the contract.
PCs also plan to ask to change some of their rules of self-governance.
PCs meet with William and he agrees with most of their proposed terms.
William only grants 80 pawns of Vis, giving 40 per year for two years.
The type of up to twelve pawns of the forty may be specified per year.
He will supply them with two years of food and other mundane supplies.
Leo 21
Some of the PCs meet with Gomo for breakfast to give him the bad news.
Gomo is civil but he politely asks them to go as his business is over.
PCs meet with William and his assistants to deal with the end details.
During the afternoon, 2 magi from Numantia petition and gain entrance.
The 2 magi are Gonzago, and Rodrigo filius Gonzago, both Magi Ex Misc.
Later that day, Angeles is challenged to Certamen, by Rodrigo Ex Misc.
Rodrigo desires Angeles's place in Segobriga Segunda. Angeles refuses.
Some time later, Angeles challenges Rodrigo to Certamen for amusement.
Angeles names Rego as the Technique and Rodrigo calls the Form Mentem.
The two magi fight for a short while, but soon realize they are equal.
The Certamen ceases with no clear winner. Rodrigo remains quite angry.
Rodrigo implies he will declare a Wizard's War, at the next full moon.
Leo 22
Tribunal is closed by Praco Matlus, with Livia certifying it as valid.
PCs begin to make their plans to leave for Covenant Segobriga Segunda.
